Perfect camera 10/10
Love this camera. Was having issues with the popular brand doorbell, once I connected this I’ve had no issues. I am using the battery instead of hardwired due to user(me) issues 😝 but the battery has stayed charged a while. I am at 18% and it does not drain quickly. Installation was easy. I have not purchased a plan yet or tried the trail. Everything I need I’ve been able to see without a plan. The picture quality is perfect. The sound is good, no issues. The size of the camera in the pics look a little bigger than other brands but it’s the normal size as any other camera. They have other products and I wish I had somewhere to put some bc the quality is amazing.

The video quality is pretty nice I would say comparable to ring doorbell at the least but maybe better depending on which model you have. The setup was easy and straightforward Once again comparable to a ring doorbell. If you’ve ever installed one of those, this one will be a breeze. The quality of the product itself is really nice, I actually bought this one as part of a set that included four exterior solar powered cameras the doorbell, one interior home camera and a DVR to record all of the footage so that I do not have to pay for a monthly subscription which is what I was having to do with ring doorbell.

Mostly PROs, Two CONs, One EDIT
PROs: We’re senior citizens, not especially tech-savvy, but found the installation relatively painless — after a couple of stops and restarts. We replaced an old conventional doorbell with the AOSU model that can be wired or battery, so we connected it to the existing wires. As a pleasant surprise, it not only rings the base unit, it also rings the two bells from the old doorbell. The camera seems to work well, the picture is clear with good coverage. We also connected it to our Amazon Echo / Alexa View, so we can see who’s at the door either there or on a mobile phone.CONs: The device is advertised as allowing the user to “see” packages on the doorstep/porch. Well, no, you can’t, unless you want to mount the device at such a downward angle you’d not be able to who’s at the door except from the waist down. Also, though perhaps it’s an artifact of our home system, there’s a very annoying echo when using a mobile device to talk to someone at the door. The sound at the doorbell is clear, but not at the mobile device.We’ve only had the doorbell installed for a couple of days and we’re still tinkering with volume and sensitivity settings, ringtone options, etc. So there may be more to add to this review later, but that’s where we’re at for now. We did interact with AOSU Customer Service and they were patient but not especially helpful in addressing the CONs listed. The advertising on Amazon could use some editing to remove the promotion of the “you can see packages” feature.EDIT: Well, we’re down to three stars. After using the doorbell for several days, the audio problem just kept getting worse. It finally got to the point that it was impossible to communicate through the doorbell. Words came through sporadically but were garbled; the echo on the mobile end persisted. This may not be a deal-breaker for some users, but communicating with the person outside was a primary reason for getting this device in the first place. So, we’re going to return it and keep shopping.

Great camera, great customer support
Doorbell Camera works decently well for what was needed,especially with no subscription. It doesn’t record continuously but it does capture clips when there is movement, picture quality is good, had a slight issue with the doorbell going off every ten minutes once the doorbell was rung but a aosu customer support member (Ann) was on top of that right away when contacted. They sent a new doorbell within a couple days and made sure everything was in perfect order once I brought up the issue I was having, very helpful.The doorbell camera holds a decent charge, it lasts about 2 months or so depending on how much traffic you get where you place it. You can also view live camera if needed. There is a subscription you can get if you want, but the free option provides decent quality video clips as well. Overall I recommend this product if you want a doorbell camera that is decently priced with decent video quality that doesn’t require a subscription and is wireless. Customer service from the brand was also very helpful if needed.

Excelente compra, se puede integrar en la misma app de la marca varios dispositivos de adentro de la casa, la nitidez de la imagen me encanta y su fácil instalación, tiene la memoria SD ya incluida y no hay que comprar otra, vale la pena el costo por tener tecnología de IA. Solo recomendaría a la marca colocar la tarjeta SD que ya viene incluida en el repetidor que va adentro en la casa y no en el timbre por seguridad.

This is now my second doorbell. I had bought one to test out for the back door and it worked really well so bought another one for the front door. The back doorbell is on battery power while the front one is wired into the old house doorbell.Size: It is a lot bigger than your regular doorbell or even the Ring doorbells. If you’re looking for something small, slim profile, etc. then this is not the doorbell for you.Battery powered doorbell: Worked surprisingly well considering it was exposed to the elements. It took a couple of months before I had to charge it up again. I live in Alberta, Canada and it weathered well in the March temperatures (dipping down to about -20C. Captured video just fine and clear but there is a lag between you receiving it vs where the person is located.Wire powered doorbell: Installation was fairly easy and integrated with the chimer in the house really easily. The location of the doorbell is on a 90 degree angle so used the plates that were provided to tilt it so it would point more towards the walkway vs just the front door. Again, captured video fine but there is a lag.App: The app worked well but I had to get assistance from customer service to get it linked to the Google Assistant but it wasn’t difficult to use. Only wish that the voice chosen could be on a more permanent scale instead of having to remember to pick the voice change before answering the person as currently, it’s defaulted to using your own voice when you open the app to answer and not one of the other voices you choose. If you’re female and want to use the male voice when answering for safety purposes, you have to remember switch the voice before answering or it will be your own voice that comes through first.Customer Service: AMAZING! I had used all the tilt/angle plates that came with the doorbell but it still wasn’t enough (the doorbell is on the side of the house so 90 degrees from the walkway) so I reached out to customer service with a picture of what the doorbell see vs what it should see. They not only responded quickly, they sent me 2 additional plates at no cost and it arrived within a few days. Every time I have reached out to them, they have been very responsive which shows they stand behind the product.Overall impression: Very good doorbell to upgrade to if you want a camera one but don’t want to spend the high cost dollars for it. The doorbell is a lot bigger than others but does what it’s supposed to do. The cost is decent for what you get but the best part is the customer service. I would give it a 6 star out of 5 for the customer service alone. Would I buy it again? Well… I already bought 2 but I would definitely recommend if people were asking.

I’ve been searching for the perfect video doorbell for over 3 years, and I truly feel like I’ve finally found it with the AOSU Video Doorbell V8S. The 5MP UHD camera quality is absolutely phenomenal—crystal clear both during the day and at night. The dual-band WiFi (2.4/5 GHz) ensures a reliable connection, and the triple motion detection has been incredibly accurate without too many false alerts.While the audio clarity could be a bit better, it hasn’t been a deal-breaker for me. The fact that there’s no monthly fee, 180-day battery life, and local storage for 2 months just adds to the value. Integration with Alexa has been seamless as well.Overall, I’ve been extremely happy with this purchase. It checks all the boxes I was looking for—high quality, reliable performance, and great features without ongoing costs. Highly recommend!

I love it. The video is clear and it was semi-easy to install. Took about an hour but everything works. Easy to watch videos on the app and the chime works great. It sends me notifications and I can adjust settings based on my lifestyle. I wouldn’t pay full price but at the discount I got definitely worth it.
