Easy to assemble and very sturdy design (see pics). I am using the shelves in a walk-in closet for added storage space.

These shelves are great for our outside storage shed. They are well designed, and seem sturdy and as strong as advertised, and lock to one another when you have more than one. When I opened the boxes (I bought 2), I did have to scratch my head for a few minutes, because the assembly instructions did not make sense to me. So, I thought I’d take the time to make some suggested edits to those directions for the benefit of others.Here is step one of the instructions that came with the units, with what I think is erroneous language in brackets ( [ ):I. [Insert one shelf upright into a foot cap], then slide a-bushing over the upright. Rotate the bushing until it ‘locks’ into the corresponding openings on the upright. Repeat with three more shelf uprights, foot caps and bushings. Ensure that the bushings are all set at the same location.My suggestion is to change step 1 into two parts, a & b as follows and add new language (in braces ( { )):1a. Insert {a Foot Cap (E) into the underside of each of the four holes in what will be the bottom shelf (A), and press or tap them all the way in.1b. Lay that shelf right side up (Foot Caps on the floor), insert four} shelf uprights (B) into {the four holes}, then slide a Bushing (C) over {each} upright {as shown}. Rotate the Bushings until {they ‘lock’} into the corresponding openings on the upright.2. Slide {another} shelf over these four uprights and push firmly into place.3. Insert four more shelf uprights into partially assembled unit {and} repeat bushing attachment process. Slide the {next} shelf over the uprights and push firmly into place. Repeat for remaining uprights, {Bushings} and shelves.4. To adjust the height of any shelf. simply tap the shelf up to expose the bushings, then reposition all four bushings in the desired location. Replace the shelf.5. Position 2 wall brackets as shown and solidly screw to wall structure. Wall structure must be capable of bearing load from brackets.Contact your local hardware supplier for advice.~~~~~~~~~~I hope this helps!

Was short 4 bushings. Count parts before assembly!!!!
Years ago I bought a shelf unit for my outside closet from Home Depot, a Keter. It was too wide for the closet sides so I placed it along the facing wall off to the right. I lost a lot of floor space. 20 yrs later Amazon, where you can practically get anything, any size came along so I ordered this 32″ shelf unit to fit off to the side and give me floor space. I took everything off the other shelf and placed it on the patio while assembling this one which was very easy. Sadly, I did not count parts before I started. When I got to the top shelf, no bushings. I had two choices, tear it down and return or contact the company as their paperwork states. I was so into rearranging this closet, I decided not to tear it down and return, I’d contact the company and get the bushings. FYI, been over a week, no bushing. It’s a Canadian company, my advice, count parts, if you are short, return to Amazon. I set the last shelf on the top but not aligned with the posts/holes while waiting for bushings that never came. Yet??? I put lightweight items up there like umbrellas etc until I get the bushings. But that’s not panning out. I repurposed my 20 yr old Keter shelf for my plants. Comparing the Keter to this shelf, the Keter was better constructed, but that was 20 yrs ago. The size of this Gracious Living is perfect for my needs. But I do need the top shelf. I just wish I had not been so gung ho. I should of flipped the shelves over and counted parts before unloading and removing my Keter shelf. I should of disassembled it once I realized parts were missing and sent it back instead of contacting Gracious Living. Should of, could of, would of. The shelves seem to be sturdy enough for the weight I paced on them. Mind you, I can’t use the top shelf fully yet. Kinda still hoping Gracious Living comes through. If they do, I will gladly update. I give 3 stars for the shortage of parts. Not a good value if I can’t utilize the top shelf like I needed. This shelf was delivered May 15, 2021. As of today May 31, 2021, no bushings from Gracious Living. Next time I have an issue with a product, I’m contacting Amazon. Not the seller. Very disappointed in Gracious Living.
