Secure feeling I know when he’s getting up.
Really like this system. At first I guess I put it too far under the mattress. It kept going off every time he moved. I adjusted it a little higher and left a tiny bit exposed on the side of the bed. That did it. It goes off when he sits on the side of the bed and again when he stands up. Works great!!! I also got the chair alarm and that’s great as well!! I feel I can go downstairs for laundry and if he gets up, I can be there before he gets out of bed or the chair. Very simple to set up. Watch the video and no issues! Love it!

Works well and is a major safety tool to prevent falls
My wife suffers from dementia and sometimes gets out of the bed while I am in another room or asleep. Once she sits up and puts her feet on the floor the alarm sounds. It works by weight. If the weight on the mat (placed under the mattress) is reduced, the alarm will sound and wake me up. I carry the alarm around with me when she is in the bed. It gives me plenty of time to get to her an assess the situation. The mat and the alarm are paired together. When the battery in the mat runs out an new mat must be purchased but that is supposed to be a couple of years or more with average use.

Early Alert feature critical for fall prevention
The Early Alert feature works great. We had a previous bed alarm from another company, and my wife was standing (and possibly falling) before the alarm woke me up. Last night, my wife woke up twice to go to the bathroom. Both times the Early Alert alarm woke me up before she stood up. I was able to help her stand up and keep her from falling. We got the Early Alert bed pad after she fell a month ago while getting up to go to the bathroom.One minor issue is occasional false alarms. Since the Early Alert feature has to detect small changes in order to warn me in time before she gets up, it can also be set off when she turns over in her sleep. However, an occasional false alarm is a small price to pay for having the alarm wake me up in time to prevent a fall.

A necessary evil when taking care of an elderly parent with memory issues
This is a product that is extremely important for taking care of my mom. It let’s me know when she’s up so I can help her down the stairs in case she wants to go down or watch her at night when she’s using the restroom. Although I’ve installed a gate to make it harder for her to go downstairs this gives me extra peace of mind.One thing I like so far is that it has alerted me every time she got out of bed. She’s not a fast walker so I don’t have the early detection on. Just when she gets out of bed. That gives me enough time to listen to see if she is opening the gate to go downstairs.There are much cheaper brands that I have not tried. This brand seems to be the original and the leader in this field. I would give this 5 stars except that is is extremely expensive. Also – the battery in the pad is not changeable so you have to buy a new pad which is also very expensive.I wish this were significantly cheaper or I wish I knew a brand that would work as well as this one. But I made the decision to go with the original rather than a copy as I am protecting something that is too important. So one point off for the price as well as for the non-changeable batteries.

You CANNOT BE WITHOUT this product if you are a caregiver of someone with Dementia or Alzheimer’s!!
My Mom has Alzheimer’s and gets up numerous times during the night, to the restroom & wandering. We have door alarms in place & an intercom in her room where we can hear her constantly, but we still coul miss when she actually got out of bed, even with a sensor on the floor! We were SO afraid she would fall and hurt herself before we could get to her! This product has been a game changer and as far as we are concerned, a LIFE SAVER! This early-alert alarm feature alerts on our monitor (only, not scaring her) when she sits up, before she even puts her feet on the floor & we are at her side before she stands!! WHAT A PEACE OF MIND; I sleep like a baby now, between when she gets up; lol! WHAT a difference!I can tell you that I had a very thick mattress plus a 2” memory foam topper on her bed, so it took a little tweaking of the pad placement to get it just right and their Customer Service Support Team was absolutely amazing & my system was up & running 100 % in no time! I absolutely recommend this product if you have a vice one you are concerned about; it will give you such a sense of RELIEF! I even go sit out on me deck now with no worries!! I even bought the Chair Pad, as well!

Works Perfectly
My mother is 101 and has been diagnosed with Dementia. Twice she fall when getting out of the bed at night when I was sleeping or on another level of the house. I needed to fix that. Fortunately, she was not hurt either time. I ordered the Lunderg Under Mattress Bed Alarm for Elderly Adults – Wireless Sensor Pad with early alert. It works perfectly. Unfortunately, the first night she must have woke me at least seven times (according to my husband). But after jumping up quickly and running to her room only to find her still sleeping, I started using a camera to see if she was actually up or not. I soon realized she was just turning over or moving, which triggered the alarm. Now I have her sleep in the middle because the alarm is actually closer to the edge of the bed. So when she turns over throughout the night, she’s nowhere near the alarm. But, when she actually starts getting up to go the the restroom through the night, the alarm goes off and I can get to her before she moves too much. What a great idea Lunderg.

Very sensitive bed movement alert
This item is useful but hasn’t been perfected yet. I’ve placed it 13″ under our Queen mattress per the instructions. It rings when my husband’s feet hit the ground; but unfortunately, it also rings when he turns from side to side. Originally, I had bought the less expensive version of this item and returned it due to the same reason. This more costly version is supposed to be improved so the side to side turning in bed doesn’t sound an alert. It needs more work. I kept it because my husband is a Fall risk and this does provide extra safety.

This bed alarm was a Godsend . Our 90 year old mom was admitted to a nursing home and because she has dementia and is a fall risk, we were extremely concerned about her trying to get out of bed and then falling. This alarm is easy to use and alerts the staff when her weight comes off the bed ( and even goes off when she sits up, before she manoeuvres to get off). Needless to say this has allowed us ‘her children’ a piece of mind during the nights.Thank you 😊🙏🏻

Works well with no false alarms. There is no cable to attach to the bed part as it has a built in battery. The sound monitor has two sound levels one being loud and the other quiet. The hand unit/pager uses a battery which is not rechargeable. It is easy to pair the two items and they worked well when we took them on holiday

The mattress pad came conveniently paired with its wireless pager. Instructions very clear. Installed within minutes of opening the box. Works great!The only thing I would improve is an option to lock-in the ring tone. When pressing the stop button after the alarm goes off, it’s very easy to press volume button instead. When doing so it toggles the ringing sound to vibration mode.Highly recommended for those at high risk for falls.
