Nice looking desk
The first thing to say is that unboxing the desk is overwhelming. There are so many pieces. It took my wife and I parts of two days to complete but the finished product is great. Once completed it is pretty sturdy and it looks great. The price is pretty low for a desk. The engineering was perfect. All pre-drilled holes fit and everything went together solidly. Instructions were all visible. My advice is to pay close attention so you don’t have to redo sections like I did! I like the power strip on top.

Ease in assembly
First of all let me say I am 79 yrs. old and on disability. I purchased 2 of these and in the last 2 days, taking my time I put one together by myself, {I did need 2 people to lay the top on}. The directions were pretty straight forward and for the most part the pieces were clearly marked. The trouble came when some of the pieces were marked with the wrong numbers. When that happened, instead of yelling and screaming and pulling my hair out, I took a deep breath, used a little common sense and realized that the piece wasn’t even close to being the right one and that it wouldn’t fit, I just went to the front of the directions and identified the correct piece.When it comes to installing the hinges the directions are not clear, but if you mess up like I did, even at the end it’s no problem in correcting it.All in all the desk looks good, it’s quite stable and for the price I’d say it’s well made.I hope the second desk will be as easy and as problem free as this one was.Hope this review helps the next person.

Good Quality Desk for Smaller Home Office Spaces
Features:This desk is just what I was looking for in terms of size and storage. I needed a desk that was smaller than the one I had previously, but I didn’t want to sacrifice too much on the storage space available in the drawers. This desk filled the bill pretty nicely. I can have a laptop, a second monitor, and an external keyboard and still have some open space on the top of the desk for pen and paper, stapler, tape, etc. There are four drawers including one large enough and equipped to hold files in hanging file folders.Materials:The materials the desk is made of are quite sturdy with the exception of the bottoms of the drawers which aren’t exactly flimsy, but they are a bit on the thin side. You’ll want to be careful not to overload the drawers, but storing a reasonable amount of stuff in them isn’t a problem.Assembly:The assembly guide gives assembly steps in the proper order, and it has reasonably clear visuals. You should look through the entire guide and make sure you examine and organize all of the parts before you begin assembling them so that you can work efficiently. There are lots of screws, bolts, dowels, and cam locks to hold the pieces together, so I would strongly suggest using a power screwdriver–makes assembly go so much quicker! A few extra screws, bolts, etc. are supplied, so unless you lose any of them during assembly, you should have some extras when you are finished putting the desk together. Unless you have a lot of experience putting furniture like this together, you should allow at least a couple of hours for the entire assembly process.Caveats:My only complaint about this product is that there were some minor problems with the machining of a few of the parts. In one piece there was no pre-drilled hole where there should have been for one of the dowels. I decided that there were enough other screws and bolts to hold this piece in place, so I simply decided to do without that one dowel. The other minor problem is with the placement of holes for the hanging file folder rods. The holes for these on the back side of the desk drawer were drilled too close to the top edge of that piece, so the rods wouldn’t stay in position. I fixed this problem by using a couple of small pieces of painter’s tape to secure them. These small problems are the reason I didn’t give this product five stars.Final thoughts:Overall, I’m pretty happy with this desk. Other than the couple of assembly hiccups mentioned above, I found the process went smoothly even though I don’t have a lot of prior experience assembling furniture. The pieces fit together well, the drawers glide smoothly, and I like the slightly distressed look (I think it is referred to as “rustic” in the product description) of the finishes. I would say that this product is a reasonably good value for the price and an even better value if there is a discount coupon you can apply.

good choice
the end result was so worth it. i built this by myself it’s definitely not solid wood but its really sturdy. i built this by myself, i only needed help putting the top of the desk on since it was heavy and needs to fit on the predrill holes. the only con i would give is when trying to screw in nails to install the metal to make the drawers slide was kinda difficult bc it would break up the hole making it impossible to screw them on. i had to screw them in sideways even though it was recommended not to bc it would prevent the drawers from sliding in. they still slide in smoothly i just had to screw them very tight.

Excellent quality
I bought this when it was on a great Prime Day sale, to use as a placesaver desk while I’m looking for the “perfect” 4′ wide desk. Months later, It’s no longer my temporary desk while I find a better one. It is THE DESK. The surfaces are nicer than I expected, the drawers are the right size, and they roll ever so easily! This is one piece of furniture that proves you don’t have spend a lot of money to get plenty of quality! Also, it was easy to put together. Excellent instructions (although I did think it was funny that one of the diagrams notes “not actual size” – as if the desk could possibly be a doll house version), and they kindly include an extra piece of every screw, etc., just in case you drop one down a heating vent or something.

Easy to assemble, but don’t over-tighten the screws. Everything is precision, perfectly aligned. Sturdy and no wobbling. Wedges for back panel are a great plus to reduce rattling. Very attractive piece of furniture.

Attractive but made of engineered wood (particle board)
While the desk is attractive and functional, the biggest issues is the deceptive description that it is a “wooden desk.” IT IS NOT. It is mainly particle board.The instructions were easy to follow and assemble. However, there were A LOT of parts. As a woman in her late sixties with a bad knee, I did manage to put it together, but the process took several days.As another reviewer mentioned, an error on page 29: the back panel printed as #26 should be #30; Page 33 drawer panel listed as #30 should be #26.It appears quite sturdy, though I would hesitate trying to move it across the state, much less across the country.Would I buy it again—NO. I purchased it based on the description of it being made of wood.
